The Tiny Technicolor Tiger is a book cover illustration for a children’s book by the fictional author Brenda S. Whitt. I created this illustration to appeal to children ages 2-10. I created two separate book sizes because I wanted the ages 2-5-year old’s to have a more sturdy design. The larger design is to appeal to older children in the ages 6-10 years of age, but also allow them to easily hold and turn the pages.
I used vibrant colors in my design to attract the attention of children and parents buying the book. I wanted the cover to communicate a fun, playful atmosphere for learning to read. There are a lot of books saturating the
children’s market, and I wanted to stand out with this bold colorful design.  
The end result of this design appeals to me so much that I intend to write and illustrate the story myself.
