​Fringe fashion was a College assignment in which I created a stationary system for a local fashion designer. The designer specialized in stitching her own patterns over vintage clothing. I created a series of brushes in Adobe Photoshop that looked like machine stitching. I selected the name “Fringe Fashion” because fringe has a double meaning. It represents a literal fringe in the fashion world and means unconventional and out of the mainstream, which is what this particular fashion designer was doing with up-cycling vintage clothing. I used paint and sewing imagery with the designer’s eyes peeking through.
